For the third time, Brazil will host the ISSCT Congress. The first time the event occurred in the country was in 1977 with the completion of ISSCT XVI Congress, organized by STAB and COPERSUCAR. In 1989, the twentieth ISSCT Congress returned to Brazil, where over 1400 delegates had the opportunity to meet the initial stages of an agribusiness that would dawn in world ranking as the largest producer of bioenergy in the world.
In 2013 the country will return to the scene in São Paulo as the host of the XXVIII ISSCT Congress with pre and post Congress (technical visits) in sugarcane areas of the State of Sao Paulo, again under the coordination of STAB.
PRE-CONGRESS
The Pre-Congress will consist of visits to institutions of research and plants. The program will cover Agricultural and Industrial areas. The XXVIII ISSCT Pre-Congress will be held in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil’s main sugarcane pole, from the 20th to 22th June, 2013.
POST-CONGRESS
The Post-Congress will consist of a visiting program to suppliers of sugarcane agribusiness who sponsored the Congress, and groups interested in learning equipment and solutions for the sector. The ISSCT XXVIII Post-Congress will also take place within the State of São Paulo, the main agribusiness sector pole, from 28th to 30th June, 2013.
